About DSL

THE DUBLIN SOCCER LEAGUE IS
AN INCLUSIVE SOCCER LEAGUE THAT PROVIDES FUN FOR ALL

Recognized by the City of Dublin as the only provider of recreational league play in Dublin

DSL is a 501(c)3 organization that provides soccer programs for the Dublin community. What began in the early 70s as a volunteer program with a hand-full of teams, the DSL now boasts over 200 teams each fall and spring, with more than 2000 participants ranging from ages 3½ to 18. Since its incorporation in 1989, DSL has provided a recreational program built on the basics of safety, good sportsmanship and fun to well over 30,000 kids in Dublin. DSL also sponsors select soccer travel teams. These competitive teams are coached by licensed parent coaches.

Over 300 DSL coaches volunteer their time and talents each season for weekly practices and games. Our coaches are the cornerstone of our league. They teach our participants the basics of soccer and the spirit of sportsmanship. DSL is also a training ground for its core of youth referees, many of whom played and still participate in the league. Employing over 100 youth referees each season, DSL provides many Dublin adolescents with their first “work” experience and income.

Dublin Charity Cup, a wholly owned subsidiary of the DSL, is an annual Labor Day weekend soccer tournament. While competition, fun and sportsmanship are the mainstays, this event is all about charity, as its name implies. Since its inception in 1989, the Dublin Charity Cup has contributed over $730,000 to children’s charities including Cystic Fibrosis, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, and most recently, Big Brothers Big Sisters. We look forward to regularly providing top soccer competition for the hundreds of local and out-of-town teams and their families who converge on Dublin each year.

Whether you are registering for your child’s first season of soccer, registering yourself as a prospective coach volunteer, or you are an administrator registering your team for this year’s Charity Cup, we hope you enjoy your experience with the Dublin Soccer League.

Dublin Soccer League is a member of the Ohio Soccer Association

It takes a grand community effort to support a soccer league as awesome as DSL. The City of Dublin provides and maintains Avery Park and Darree Fields, facilities which are second to none in central Ohio. Parents and community volunteers give their time and talents to coach Dublin’s youth soccer players, serving as role models and teachers of everything from how to dribble and pass to the importance of being gracious in victory and defeat. Referees step up to officiate games, keeping time and score, maintaining safety and control, and striving to make the right call every time. DSL staff connects all the moving parts that culminates in Soccer Saturdays at Avery Park and programs including DSX, MSSA and HSSA that play at Darree fields. A sincere Thank you to all who make DSL possible. We truly couldn’t do it without YOU.
